Excellent sealing performance
The O-ring seal closely adheres to the sealing surface through elastic deformation, effectively preventing the leakage of liquids or gases. In static sealing applications, its compression deformation can fill minor surface unevenness and ensure high sealing performance. In dynamic seals (such as reciprocating motion or rotary seals), its flexibility allows for a certain degree of motion compensation. O-rings with reasonable material selection and design can operate stably under high pressure (static sealing can reach over 1000Bar), vacuum or corrosive medium environments, and are widely used in hydraulic systems, chemical equipment, aerospace and other fields.
Diverse materials
O-rings can be made of different rubber materials to meet the requirements of various working conditions. For example, nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) has excellent oil resistance and is suitable for both fuel and lubricating oil environments. Fluororubber (FKM) is resistant to high temperatures and chemical corrosion, making it suitable for automotive engines or chemical equipment. Silicone rubber (VMQ) has excellent resistance to high and low temperatures (-60ºC to 230ºC). In addition, EPDM is resistant to ozone aging, while PTFE is resistant to strong acids and alkalis.
